Rental Process


  • Please get in touch by email if you are interested in renting.  Once we're communicating on your timing and questions, a rental application form can be emailed to you.  Our email is:  74.Huron.Southampton@gmail.com
  • Assuming availability and should the rental go ahead, a $300.00 deposit cheque or e-transfer is required.  This is returned to you following the rental period, provided there are no cleaning or damage issues.  Lastly...
  • For weekly rentals, an e-transfer or post-dated cheque for the full rental amount should be arranged for one month prior to the occupancy period.  For longer-term rentals - please be in touch to discuss arrangements.

  • Should you need to cancel your reservation, the rental amount will be returned only if another renter can be secured in a timely manner.  So please be in touch as soon as possible if your plans change. 
  • All guests are greeted on arrival and departure by the owners.  Please check-in and check-out at the scheduled times, or confirm alternate arrangements well in advance.  
  • This property is located among other cottages and homes with people enjoying their tranquil time by the lake.  We ask all guests to conduct themselves respectfully. 
  • Visitors must leave the cottage in a clean state upon departure.  Please ensure you vacuum, scrub down bathrooms, kitchen, wash the floors, etc. Cleaning supplies are provided.  If the cottage is left untidy your deposit will be used to pay for a cleaner.   
  • NO SMOKING inside or outside the property.
  • NO PETS.
  • No additional house guests beyond agreed upon number.  
  • Guests will need to follow all present and evolving healthcare protocols - social distancing and wearing masks in public, washing hands, maintaining cottage cleanliness - just like at home. 
  • As with other rental operators, guests will need to sign a waiver stating they do not have Covid-19, and have not shown symptoms or come in contact with someone with Covid-19 in the past 14 days prior to arrival. 
  • Cottage rentals and health protocols are subject to any/all changes by governing bodies as they continue to amend restrictions and guidelines. 

Guests unable to respect the cottage rental and public health guidelines will be asked to leave and will not be welcomed back.
